When is my credit card charged?

We charge your credit card only after your Final Approval of the timing of the availability of your artwork and your total cost, which includes the cost of the artwork, shipping and handling costs (if any) and the sales taxes or VAT (if any). Only then we will charge your credit card and proceed with the shipping of your artwork. As a matter of fact, PicassoMio does not even ask you for your credit card details till your Final Approval.

Will my purchase be taxed?

ONLY artwork delivered to the residents of Florida and European Union is taxed.

If you live within the European Union (EU) you will be charged Value Added Tax (or its equivalent) on your purchase at a minimum rate of 17.5%. However, this is subject to change within each member state due to periodic movements in rates, beyond the control of PicassoMio. While, such changes are beyond the control of PicassoMio, we do comply with the legislation of each EU member state.

How will I know my order has been received and processed by PicassoMio?

PicassoMio will send you an e-mail once your order is received, with details that confirm the timing of the artwork availability and your total costs, for your Final Approval (usually within 48 hours of your order). After your Final Approval, you receive another e-mail, once your order has been processed and shipped.

Why am I experiencing difficulties purchasing?

The most common cause of difficulties is that users have turned off the 'accept cookies' or 'cookies enabled' option in their browser menus. In order for our Website to offer a secure transaction process, your browser options will need to be set to accept cookies. Can I license the image of an Artwork for commercial purposes?

The artist or the estate of the artist maintains the rights to the image. The purchase of an artwork does not imply that the buyer owns the license to use the image for commercial purposes. At PicassoMio, images of artworks may be available for image licensing, for commercial purposes. Please send us your inquiry, indicating the name of artwork and details of the intended commercial use at customer@picassomio.com.

If you know exactly what you're looking for, we suggest you try our Advanced Search tool. It allows you to narrow your search results using several descriptive criteria, such as theme, style, price, color and medium. You can use these criteria individually or in any number of combinations.

However, if you're unsure of what you're looking for, may we suggest our Art Browser. Using this tool, you'll have complete access to every piece of art in our collection. Further, our catalog is neatly categorized, by mediums, colors, styles and themes, therefore allowing you ease of exploration.

How much does shipping cost?

The shipping of original artworks involves special care and packaging. However, due to our extensive reach and volume, we are able to ship artworks at a fraction of cost, with major couriers/shippers. The shipping rates (including handling, insurance and delivery) are calculated at the time of checkout, prior to your purchase of the piece.

We also offer complimentary shipping on all paintings over $ or € 10,000 and all works on paper (including graphic prints and photography) over $ or € 5,000.

Shipping and handling costs of certain bulky or delicate pieces is individually calculated and provided to you before your final purchase.

How is art shipped?

PicassoMio works very closely with leading worldwide shippers such as DHL, UPS and Federal Express. Sometimes, due to your location or the size and type of art, we might work with other shippers who specialize in the packaging and shipping of such artwork.

In the case of paintings, most paintings are shipped stretched (i.e., on a wooden stretcher that goes behind the painting) and are ready to hang. Occasionally, a larger painting may be shipped rolled (i.e., we remove it from the stretcher) due to the requirements of the shipper or to reduce the possibility of any damage. If a painting is shipped rolled, you can simply take it to a qualified local framer and have it stretched on a wooden stretcher. The stretching of a painting is generally an inexpensive process in most major cities. Further, you can contact us at anytime for names and contact information on local framers.

Other artworks, like photographs, graphic prints and sculptures are securely packed for shipping, as recommended by the artists or our own art experts.

How long does it take for my art to arrive?

After you place your order, we will confirm its availability and the timing of shipment, within 48 hours of your order. Sometimes your desired artwork may be a part of an ongoing exhibition and may not be immediately available for shipment. In such cases, we will inform you of such delay and the anticipated shipment date. Once the artwork is shipped, it will normally arrive to your address, within a matter of days. Since certain artworks are delicate to handle and may require special permitting causing delays on rare occasions.

On very rare occasions, during the interval between the display of an artwork on our website and your decision to purchase the artwork, the item may have been sold. Under such circumstances, our Art Experts work with your personally to find a suitable alternative.

Will my artwork arrive with the frame?

While we recognize that framing is an important component of display of the artwork, most of PicassoMio artwork arrives unframed. This allows PicassoMio to keep shipping costs as low as possible and lets you to select the framework of your choice. You can consult your local telephone directory for a list of framers, in your vicinity and order the most suitable frame. Of course, you can e-mail us any framing question at customer@picassomio.com.

What if I want to return the artwork after it arrives?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return the artwork for an exchange or a full refund (minus one-way shipping costs), by notifying us within 7 days of your receipt. We do request that you return the artwork in its original packing. If you do decide to return the artwork, please notify us immediately at customer@picassomio.com.

Most of our artworks are signed (and numbered, in case of editions) by the Artist. Due to the nature of the art, if the artwork is not signed by the Artist, a signed Artist's Authenticity Statement, may be available, upon your request. This document certifies the artwork’s authorship, the title, year of creation, and dimensions. However in some cases, where the Artist is deceased for example, this document may not be available.

Further, we can also provide you with an Independent Party Authenticity Endorsement with your purchase of a PicassoMio artwork. Please let us know if you would like an Independent Party Authenticity Endorsement by sending us an e-mail at customer@picassomio.com.

No-Questions-Asked Refund Policy

A 7-day return policy makes your purchase at PicassoMio.com completely risk free. If for any reason, you are not absolutely satisfied with your purchase, you may return it for a full refund (minus cost of one-way shipping) or an exchange, by notifying us within seven days of your receipt of the artwork. Returns must be suitably insured. While our selection criterion is more rigorous than most galleries, we are able to price our artworks more competitively, since we are not required to sustain expensive real estate, absorb high shipping costs for all exhibited artworks, and pay for art fair fees, etc.

Investment and Resale Assurance

In order to ensure that PicassoMio.com and PicassoMio Galleries is the best way to acquire art, we allow our clients to resell their artworks through PicassoMio.com.

If you purchase an artwork through PicassoMio.com and would like to sell it at a later date, you can email us with the following information: Name of Artwork, Artist Name, Invoice Number and Date, and a client representative will contact you. We will inform you of the current suitable price for the artwork, including price appreciation, if any, since you acquired the piece, confirm the condition of the artwork and list it for sale, on your behalf.

Unlike other major Auction Houses and Galleries which typically charge a commission of 20% to 50%, PicassoMio.com will charge a commission of 5%, only upon a successful sale and NO upfront fees. This way your art purchases are assured of higher potential returns (due to our low commission) and improved liquidity (due to our clients in 50 countries and over 1 Million monthly visitors).

We believe that while art makes a beautiful and thoughtful gift for a wedding, a house-warming, or any other special occasion, tastes in art can be hard to predict. Please note that if you have won a PicassoMio gift certificate or received a complimentary gift certificate, you may be charged shipping and handling costs.

What if my certificate is less than or exceeds the full purchase price?

Any balance can be paid with a major credit card.

If the value of the gift certificate exceeds the purchase price, you can apply the unused amount towards another purchase or for future purchases. We do not offer cash refunds on unused gift certificates.

What if I return the artwork I purchased with a gift certificate?

Our returns policies are identical to all purchases. However, since gift certificates may not be redeemed for cash, the portion paid will be applied as a credit to your account and may be redeemed against an artwork at any time.
