Joan Pere Viladecans Biography

Barcelona, Spain, 1948 -

Established Spanish painter Joan Pere Viladecans is known for his constant dialogue between figurativism and abstraction. He was influenced by Tapies and Bross, starting with artworks that combined painting with everyday objects, and later creating material-dense paintings applied with various techniques. The themes of his work are nature, time and life, as seen in his 1998 show at the Zoological Museum in Barcelona. He has shown his work in galleries and fairs in Spain, as well as internationally.
