Edition: An unnumbered proof from the signed only edition of 25 Note: Le Moulin de la Galette in Montmartre was a famous “guinguette”, a name given for popular dancing restaurants, close to the house where Utrillo lived in the rue Lepic. It was much beloved by artists such as Renoir, Lautrec, Van Gogh and Picasso. who painted several canvases of the place.
