Nané Biography

Spanish painter, sculptor and printmaker Nane sees art as something living, in constant movement and without rules. His mixed-media works on board transmit a sense of fluidity, transformation and the search for new forms of expression.

Nane began his artistic training with the AFHA in Barcelona by correspondence. He travelled to Paris, London and Amsterdam in search of ways in which to develop his style and at the age of 20 held his first solo show in his native Vittoria. His work was selected by the Marvin A. Elson Gallery in New York for the 'Promising Young Europeans' exhibition, which allowed Nane to develop relationships with galleries on both sides of the Atlantic.
