OLIVIA FONTANA Biography

Olivia Fontana was born in Lucca (Italy) in 1982. She graduated initially in cultural heritage studies at the State University of Milan where she specialized in art history. She then re-located to Madrid she porpused her passion for art by enrolling on a number of painting courses at the "El Estudio" School of art. She also gained a knowledge of painting techniques in the studio of the artist, Adriano Pompa, in Milan as well as in the "Eduard Mac Davoy" Studio in Paris. She then became assistant to the photographer, Gonzalo de Alvear, and helped him with his photo-reportage work on the Island of Capri as well as in Lucca. In 2006, they jointly published a book entitled "Lucca Lux Dei". Returning to Madrid, in 2006 she undertook a Master´s Degree in Graphic Design.
