Note: This etching is number 270 of the so called 347 series made by Picasso at the grand old age of 87. Despite the old age of the artist the works are dynamic and amusing - his longevity has taken away none of his creativity. In a 6 month period the artist created 347 etchings - sometimes doing several in the course of a single day. All are dated, signed and numbered. This was a great feat for a man of his age!

Provenance:
Estate of Pablo Picasso (Therefore an artists' proof);
Collection of Marina Picasso (Her blindstamp verso)
On the death of the artist in 1973 he left a huge quantity of original works of art to be divided up between his various family members. The largest share was inherited by Marina Picasso (His grand daughter - Paulo Picasso’s daughter) and it is from this source that the present example comes. The excellent provenance obviously enhances the works and makes it considerably more desirable)
