Patrick Caulfield Biography

1936 -

BRITISH master painter and printmaker, Patrick Caulfield is best known for his POP artworks,

Trained at the Chelsea School of Art and Royal College of Art, his first one- man show was held at the Robert Fraser Gallery, London, in 1965.

While he generally uses traditional subject matter, like landscapes and still- life, his style and approach to art, is reminiscent of Pop art.

He was awarded a Prize for printmaking at the Paris Biennale (1965) and an exhibition of his works has also been held at the Tate Gallery (London).
