Pedro Castrortega Biography

Established Spanish painter and graphic designer Pedro Castrortega develops his work in abstract realism, infused with symbolic references. In his work, volume and plane are equalized, achieving a great expressive force with fluid forms, contrasted with light and shadow, line and color.

Though he began his artistic career working in the realist and figurative styles, he eventually moved toward informalisim, without ever reaching full abstraction.

He received his degree from the School of Fine Arts in Madrid.
