Rachel de Roeper Biography
Established British artist Rachel de Roeper depicts pictorial imagery in abstract and semi-abstract form.
Rachel de Roeper studied Surface Decoration Design in England, at both the Norwich School of Art and Design and De Montfort University in Leicester, England, where she received a BA ( Hons) Degree in 1993.
Rachel de Roeper. has sold her work both Nationally and internationally eg USA, Australasia, Canada, Scandinavia, Spain, Ireland and the UK
Rachel de Roeper's love and appreciation for landscape, geographical and natural form is exhibited throughout her work.
Recognised for her unique style of working with mixed media on transparent media, she creates pictorial imagery in abstract and semi-abstract form for back-lit installations, through to decorative wall displays.
The unique textural patterns, details, tonal effects and finishes create the pictorial image, and when viewed from the unpainted side provide a rich lustre and depth to her artwork.
Therefore, Rachel de Roeper produces her transparent work 'back to front' to the audience view.
In addition to her transparent work, Rachel de Roeper, produces art pieces on the more traditional surface media from canvas through to paper and mural decoration.Her artwork is also being reproduced into bespoke fabrics for couture and interior design.
