Title: The artist Alberto Giacometti in his studio (s.ta143) Medium : Vintage Silver Gelatin print on Baryte de Luxe paper, circa 1985 , signed in ink below the image. Size: 240 x 300 mms Note: In “Portraits of the artists” Doisneau explains that his series of photographs of Giacometti were taken at 46 rue Hippolyte-Maindron, Fourteenth Arrondissement, Paris, on December 18th and 19th, 1957. Our photograph is a truly iconic work taken from above showing the melancholy features of the Swiss artist surrounded by his bronze sculptures and a miscellany of paint brushes and bottles.
