Romero Carrasco Biography
Barcelona, Spain 1975-
Jose Maria Carrasco is a self-taught Spanish artist that works in the abstract style. He paints exclusively over paper and he likes to leave spaces blank, that the space would be a color more to transmit order, serenity, and simplicity. For him the blankness is a synonym of calmness and includes in the apparently more violent parts, a gap of calmness.
He began completing his first series of 46 sheets (paper DIN A3) that he titled "El Hombre Antiguo". At the end of 2006 he began facing the 50x70 sheets to better control the Indian ink.
