Xavier Fajula Cases Biography

Spanish abstract artist Xavier Fajula Cases defines his creative process:

"I have always been interested in any form of artistic expression, searching for the best way in which to canalizing my creative expression. It is a vital necessity.

Never have I studied formally. I learned from what was around me, from expositions, from the great painters, from the emerging painters, from the advice from friends who had formal artistic training.

I wish to establish an emotional dialogue rather than a rational one with my work. I think that detail, the image, are elusive and what is left is the global sense of a work.

I paint on different surfaces. Canvas, paper, wood. I use as much oil as I do acrylic. Whatever material will best serve the composition. Everything is useful if in the end the work evokes a magical moment when it is seen."
