Detailed Description

Born October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain, Pablo Picasso became one of the greatest and most influential artists of the 20th century. Considered by many contemporaries to be radical in his work he had. To the unrivaled influence upon 20th century art and is now widely credited with the creation of the Cubism (along with Georges Braque) A Spanish expatriate painter sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and stage designer, he produced at astounding 20.000 paintings, prints, drawings and sculptures during his brilliant 70-year career. He died on April 8, 1973 in Mougins, France. The works of art in this collection were selected from the personal collection inherited by Marina Picasso, Pablo Picasso's granddaughter. After Pablo Picasso's death in 1973, his granddaughter Marina authorized the printing of these original lithographs, Which have come to be known as the Picasso Estate Collection. The lithographs were meticulously created after the original works (Oil Paintings, Watercolors, Pastels, Drawings, etc.) by Master Chromist MARCEL SALINAS, who worked closely with Picasso in his lifetime. They are printed in an edition of 500 on first-quality Arches paper. TO ENSURE authenticity, each print is signed and numbered in pencil by Marina Picasso and embossed with the estate and Chromist's seals alongwith the legend on the reverse "Approved by the heirs of Pablo Picasso". This lithograph is from the RARE limited edition and numbered 73 of the 500th Signed by Marina Picasso, in pencil. PRINTER: Ediciones Poligrafa. The artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity.
