Adolph Gottieb
(1903-1974)

American painter, regarded as a key exponent of Abstract Expressionism.

His initial work experimented with Expressionism and Surrealism, and he gradually shifted to Abstract Expressionism during the 1940s. His most famous works form a part of three different series: Pictographs, Imaginary Landscapes and Bursts. SELECTED MUSUEMS AND COLLECTIONS
