Chilean figurative painter Francisco Morales works principally in watercolour. He originally trained as an architect.

Watercolour is like a tide that moves freely over the paper. Its initial shining freshness quickly vanishes, its body evaporates and dies. What remains it its soul, the pigment of shadows that retain traces of life, that describe lost movements and the struggle of colour”
