Hilaire-Germain-Edgar Degas Artwork Details
Just beautiful 'tipped-in' plate after "The Tub" by Degas in 1886, and from an essential 1958 folio of his work.
The print is signed by Degas 'in the plate', and this is just visible to the lower left hand corner, with dimensions of the item benefiting: Support 230 mms x 230 mms, Plate 202 mms x 200 mms.
Title with year of the original work are shown beneath the plate (when lifted), and further corroborative details are catalogued in lead verso the passepartout support.
The plate has been well archived, hence this piece is without doubt an exemplary example of the genre.
