Manuel Monedero Biography

He was born at Seville in 1.925, in the well-known “Alameda de Hércules”. His first exhibition was held in 1.961 at the Dickson Gallery (Washington). All along the 60s he made several exhibitions in the US, from Washington to Philadelphia, Baltimore, New York, Princeton, and California. He also showed his works in Montreal … on all the occasions he was always sponsored by famous galleries like Dickson, Lesnick, Delancey, Gorline, etc.

His first Spanish exhibition was in 1.965 at Seville (Florencia Gallery). After that, he visited Madrid to make another four more, two in the Heller Gallery and another two in Cano Gallery in the period 1.973-1.979. In the 90s he moved to a small village named “Carboneras” located in the heart of the National Park of Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche (Huelva, South Spain), where he found inspiration to create his best masterpieces. In March 1.993, Seville made a tribute to his career through an Anthological Exhibition with a warm welcome and a great success among critics and public. He died in December 6th 2.002.
