Maria Cecilia Kassem Biography

The loose brushwork and distorted perspectives in Columbian painter Marica Cecilia Kassem´s townscapes and folkloric scenes reveal her interest in the work of the expressionists, an influence which she develops to the point of abstraction in her compositions based on pre-Colombian motifs, where colour is put into play against form and space.
