"Every piece is the result of an experience which has had an extraordinary strength," says Michaela. She creates these images using the "photosandwhich" technique which allows her to overlap layers of color, "until I find harmony, and create a vague image, like pulling our feelings from inside to outside," she says. "Every image has its own space to live, created expressly by me, with materials like wood, iron and jute. I have the sensation that matter can feed the image, increasing its strength."
