Artist's Statement

Oil painting is my favorite medium. I currently use the spatula and oil bars for freedom that give me these means. He has always enjoyed working with the human figure. I see the body as a landscape of ripples, grooves volumes that sometimes transmuted into organic abstractions. Some proposals metaphorically cognate with tropical fruits like "cundiamor" The curved line, light, shadow, volume, attached to the color of the tropics, frame and nourish my pictorial proposals. Body landscapes, especially the female figure with its natural and mysterious beauty, inspired me to create my dimension in art projection of my concerns, ideas and feelings. For me, art is a form of expression and creation of certain alternative realities, where imagination is the limit.
