Matthew Hilton

Matthew Hilton was born in Hastings, England in 1957.  He studied at Protsmouth College of Art in 1975 and opened his own studio in 1984.  He was one of the leading furniture designers of the British ´neo-objectivity` movement.

He believes each product should be developed from its own logic, to which the diversity of his products testify. His Walt chair is made of light translucent plastic and is multi-purpose. However, his Puff seat has a footstool that can be put in the seat itself to create an ottoman is more rounded and made of different materials than the Walt chair, a different style completely.
