Richard Hutten was born in 1967 in Zwollerkerspel, Netherlands. He graduated from the Academy of Industrial Design, Eindhoven in 1991 and began working at Droog Design only two years later.
His credo: expressing clever ideas through simple, even Minimalist designs.
Having designed many furniture and household items, he has also worked on many interior and exhibition designs.
However, in all of his different project he sticks to his theory of achieving distinctive effects by simple means.
