Rodolfo Dordoni was born in Milan, Italy in 1954. He graduated from Politecnico, Milan with a degree in architecture. His designs of furniture and lamps can be characterized as having balanced proportions, elegant functionality. He believed that objects have an effect on people's moods so he sought to design products that are discreet yet pleasing.
Rodolfo Dordoni's designs also frequently had a hidden feature such as the Paco table lamp with has a fluorescent switch that can easily be found in the dark. He also created a series of beds that are simple and comfortable. He also became the art director at Cappellini, Roscarini, Imel and other companies until 1993.
