Detailed Description

Agustí Rio, born in Barcelona in 1923, formed in Llotja and the Cercle Artistic de Sant Lluch. His wife was Asturiana and so many of his paintings are on Asturias. In 1953, in Paris, collaborating in the implementation of sets by Marc Chagall sketches, works in the study scenographic Pelegry, until health reasons he returned to Barcelona. The painting of Augustine River is within the figurative, with themes of suburban citizens, duly made poetry. In the scenarios of her paintings there is sometimes a human figure, her abundant gray palette provides a magical atmosphere at times aided by a composite drawn with elegance and simplicity.
