Amparo Cruz Herrera Biography

Spain, 1926

Daughter of the famous Spanish painter Jose Cruz Herrera, Amparo Curz Herrera has emergered an an important artist in her own right. Her figurate works reflect the the constant travels with her father which exposed her to the art of many different cultures, including France, Brussels, Switzerland and Casablanca.

The self taught Herrera developed her style by observing her father and studying the works of the Impressionists. She perfected her work until eventually finding a style of great delicacy and grace.

Her work has received much acclaim and has often been recognized by the Salon de Otoño de Madrid.
