Man Ray

American photographer and painter, one of the leading exponents of Dadaism and fashion photography.

After co founding the Dada group in New York, Man Ray moved to Paris in 1921. In Paris, he was deeply influenced by the Surrealists and this influence showed up in his photograms, also called ‘Rayographs’, by the artist himself. His most popular images are those of the Parisian celebrities like Countess Casati and Kiki de Montparnasse.
