Mann, Sally

1951-

American photographer, most well known for her controversial black and white images of children growing up.

Trained at the Praestegaard Film School, the Aegean School of Fine Arts, and the Ansel Adams Workshop, her pictures often explore family life and the intimacy of friends and family.

Her works form a part of the collections of the leading American museums, such as MOMA, New York, Smithsonian, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Mann´s most popular publications have included: Immediate Family, Sally Mann: Still Time and At Twelve, Portraits of Young Women.
