Polaroid Transfer

Polaroid Transfer

Polaroid transfer refers to a photographic image-transfer process, or printmaking technique, which uses Polaroid film. This process allows an image to be put on textiles, cups, glass and many other surfaces. Polaroid film is exposed using a camera, enlarger, or slide printer. The film is removed from the holder and pulled apart befote development has completed, not letting the two sides (the picture and the negative) touch. The negative is placed face down on paper or other material with pressure applied and allowed to finish developing. The paper and negative are then moistened with water and peeled apart. The image will have “transferred” to the other surface.
