Detailed Description

Abstract. Reading Paul Auster, for various reasons made me think about the idea of alternative realities: how small events change your life and what alternative lives one could be living. Not a particularly original thought/idea, but it made me think of how this would impact on my painting. I therefore intended to paint, removing my normal influences, and seeing what happened. Three paintings happened, using an essentially different colour range. I can't be someone else, though, so I don't presume they are completely new in that way. But using different colours - especially the light blue, and physically scraping off paint in a different way in certain areas I think has made me come up with something different. I can't guess what happens next. We'll see.
