Derek Jones is an established English figure painter and printmaker. His work is driven mainly by his interest towards the process of printmaking and how it allows him to bring out the sensuality of his subjects, often female models.
He says: ?I have always thought that the very act of drawing, and the marks made, should reflect the mood and nature of the model; so the surface should have a sensuous charge?and this leads me to continuously experiment with media reflected to an extent in the presented images.?
