Hans Erni Biography

An established Swiss painter and sculptor, Hans Erni is often called the ?Swiss Picasso.? He is best known for his wall-decorations and sculptures, as well as his stamp designs.

He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Lucerne, Switzerland, and later at the Academie Julian in Paris. There he was awarded first prize in an art competition, and began work as a free lance artist in his own studio.

After travelling and exhibiting his work around the world, Erni co-founded ?Allianz,? the Swiss Group of Abstract Art.

His work can be found in public and private collections around the world.
