A leading Brazilian financial executive, Edmar Cid Ferreira is the leading patron of contemporary art in the country.
He also presides BrazilConnects, an organization that promotes shows of emerging Brazilian art in Europe and Americas.
Cid Ferreira previously directed the Sao Paolo Biennale from 1993 to 1997. He is currently trying to bring a Guggenheim Museum branch to Sao Paolo.
