Ivan Toninato Biography
Treviso, Italy, 1974
He studied at the School of Cartoon in Milan. In 2000 he won the first edition of the contest "cartoomics 2000", which gave him the opportunity to attend illustration and graphic art in the Instituto Europeo di Design in Milan under a great Master.
He has collaborated as a graphic designer for some publicity agencies, designing calendars, trade marks, labels, posters, mascottes, atlases. Has also worked as a cartoonist for some humouristic magazines, his work has been published in the main national and international catalogues.
He teaches advertisement design and is interested in pictorial realism. He studied the technique involved in using acrylic paints in order to be able to join painting and photography.
His favourite subject matter is womens faces with strong, ambiguous and provocative apperance.
