SOME RELEVANT CRITICISMS:

Roberto Montenegro.

In Cazares Campos, our hopes are encrypted within the contemporary domestic landscape. Faithful follower of Velasco, shows in his maturity and mastery of drawing and color of a very personal way. Mexico, April 5, 1967.

Jose Revueltas

"Painting is one way of uniting the senses and transform them. Cazares Campos, the moves and makes them live as a separate fact, their eyes are the lidless eyes of sleepless artist. " September 1967

Jorge Juan Crespo de la Serna

Cazares is a landscaper who follow the guidelines of the art for themselves. His vision of the phenomenon of nature and man, that make up the face of what exists and has existed in the world, makes his feelings and memories lived intensely, in a work that already exists by itself, and that notwithstanding reflects the very essence of a human being who has managed to absorb and take for itself with the things that define what we know as panorama or detailed annotation of the poetic experience that contributes to personal transformation of painting, fine and unblemished that enlivens all the grounds with a new life in a vibrating voice neorealism and essences of a craft and tested. Mexico, December 2, 1974

Jorge Cazares: A value set. Jorge Juan Crespo de la Serna.

The Italians and the Flemish Renaissance used the landscape as "atmosphere" that would wrap around her scenes and most of all, at the "bottom". Much later the 'off' the main theme as Giorgione, such summits. But the father of landscape theme is Patinir (sixteenth century), quoted with praise by Durer. Rubens excels himself on this issue, so Rembrandt. What's on the figure, still lifes, etc.? Herbert Read is inclined to give the landscape classification of Romantic art, art of poetry. And in that sentence is enclosed completely free quality that has always distinguished.

Cazares has the character of a true poet, his coloring is very refined and finesse. I find the breath vast and ambitious flagship landscape painters: Le Poussin and Claude Lorrain, but its delicate hues and transparencies, as well as incisive as the lines of fields, mountains, villages and skies, come very close to Corot and the precursors of Impressionism Constable and Turner. Never deviates from nature. His work is based on studies to open full and round in the study. Ojala be known better. I think it's already a value set. Mexico, 1974

Cazares: Disciple of Velasco Antonio Rodriguez

The landscape, in Mexico in the late nineteenth century, is the way to affirm and emphasize the cult of its own that the Cologne, at least in the realm of painting, had not wanted or been able to inspire.

It is moved by this attempt to delineate the profile of the country and incite love that Jose Maria Velasco, followed by artists such as Luis Coto, Gregory Dumaine, Salvador Murillo and others, increased landscaping, painting, creating a high degree of art.

Jorge Cazares is in this respect, the master of Temazcalcingo, recreating, with love and nobility of a job well cultivated, the various aspects of the geography of Mexico from the highlands to the coast, worrying both to offer an artistic vision of major cities and villages of the country as the archaeological ruins of the ancient pre-Hispanic cities.

Commendable for the sake of giving us a pleasant and friendly image of the vast and varied territory of the country, the efforts of Jorge Cazares is, also, by the high quality of his work. It has been said of this artist-and he said it with authority maestro Roberto Montenegro, which is him "a faithful follower of José María Velasco.

Indeed, if we see, for example, "Llanos de Apan" by Jorge Cazares, we are forced to recognize that the extension of the landscape recreated the just separation of the planes, the transparency of the atmosphere and the ability to achieve the distance by the exact tone handling, falls, this table, among the finest works of those who are inspired, creatively, in the painting of Velasco.

That is why, for the ability to turn the art of painting in poetry instead of calling to hunt, "Velasco faithful follower of" what we consider one of the best pupils that the teacher of the Valley of Mexico has now, in our country.

I believe, as Crespo de la Serna, who by their unquestionable value, this fine artist must be more widely known. February 1986.
