Artist's Statement

“Santhal” the indigenous people of Bengal has played a significant role in my work. Their way of life has made a massive impression on me since my childhood. My recent works evolves around the human-spirit. I have created numerous works that has direct connection with the life and nature of Santhals. I have been working with various materials but sense of understanding and level of communication with material iron-welding has been more appropriate for my recent works. I have been exploring various possibilities of tangible plane and space and spatial relationship in my work.
