René Carcan Biography

Bussels, Belgium, 1925 ? 1993

An established Belgian artist, Rene Carcan worked as an engraver and sculptor. His pieces are distilled visions of the world, executed in earth-tones, that find influence in the work of Henri Matisse, Wassily Kandinsky, and Paul Klee.

Carcan studied at the Academie Royale des Beaux-Arts and St. Josse ten Noode.
