Spain, 1974

Graduate in Fine Arts from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia in 1998. She began her career as a graphic designer, but later switched to education. She currently works as a secondary school art teacher in Valencia.

Her early work is based on installations in natural spaces, focused on oriental poetic texts and digital images. She has subsequently combined these two disciplines in order to create hybrid products. At present she uses photography as a canvas on which she works infographically, using computer graphics until the work achieves a pictorial quality typical from other media. Which according to the artist, signifies the expression of ones own worlds and states of consciousness.

Her projects are definitely an attempt to aproach the minimal expression, the immediate act... the apreciation of art from a day to day point of view.

About the relationship between the japanese medieval zen aesthetics and the characteristics of art in the "expanded field" nowadays. Research Director: David Perez.

1998: Solo Show LLEVAOSLO TODO, QUITADLO DE AQUI PARA QUE PUEDA VER, Installation in Valencia. Published in a catalog. Based on a poem by Wang Wei: A Gallery is practically empty, there are only two holes in the ceiling with two ropes hanging from them and a few verses in the frontal part of the steps leading from the gallery to the outside. A new attempt to discover art outside the galleries: on the streets, the people, the trees, the sky.

1998: HAIKU, ENTRE PALABRA Y LA IMAGEN. Theorical research about the relationship between an haiku an its amazing capability to instantly create mental images. Haikus are analized as if they were "pictorial works".

1998: KOAN, UN JAQUE AL INTELECTO, Action-Installation placed in the Politecnico de Valencia campus. 25 koans are abandoned with a poetical object related in libraries, class rooms and labs. ¿the goal? To stop for a few moments the day to day rational thought. The interaction starts when the object is shown on a web site that implies the collaboration of the visitor.

1997: *Group Show *OBJETOS POETICOS Y PERFORMANCES, took place in the casa de la cultura de Chiva, in Valencia. This is the first time that oriental literature appears in my work, in this case a poem by Minamoto no Yorizane (XIII century) materializes as a scruffy umbrella.

1997: CAJA DE MADERA, Installation placed in a chapel San Salvador, Alcora (Castellon). A small wooden box is abandoned at the gates of a chapel. Inside the box a poem by Wang Tchang-ling. The final sense of the action is based on the final verse: "In the air floats an unkwon aroma".

1997: LIBROS PINTADOS, Installation in Molina de Aragon. In this case graphic signs, such as the chinese kanyis, are now part of the piece, distorting the original meaning of the book. The sources, are again, two chinese poems from the Tang dinasty.

1997: CIEN HOJAS DE HAIKU, Action- Installation. A hundred haikus written on a hundred leaves form a metaporical journey to Guadalajaar. The incorporation of haikus in my work is very important, because since then my work is basically centerd on them. In this case i used dry leaves as support, because it's ephemeral nature is closely related to the haiku's own nature.

1996: Painting group show MIRADA AL INTERIOR took place in la casa de la Juventud de Valencia. Published Triptic. It was based on the idea of Nietzche's labyrinth. Is my first show and the influence of literature is evident.
