Yuriy Lobachev Biography
The painter was born on 26th of January, 1941 in the village of Petrovsky, the Ivanovo region. He graduated from the Ivanovo Art School in 1964. Member of the Union of Artists since 1977. Vladimir painting school is provincial, and therefore conservative in the best sense of the word. Vladimir School embodies the familiar features of Russian painting of the first half of the twentieth century, transforming into unwritten history of modernism in Moscow. All this is fully characterises the beautiful system of Yuriy Lobachev. In the tradition of the school Lobachev today, perhaps is the most "Vladimir." He managed to create a unique system of plastic signs, based on the semantics of the artist of Vladimir, that happens very rarely, and to express it in the original texts. www.zebrazp.com
