Davis, Stuart

Stuart Davis
(Philadelphia, 1892- New York, 1964)

American painter, and a leading figure in American cubism.

Trained by Robert Henri, Davis is most well known for the depiction of American styles and life with Cubist concepts, such as his work, House and Street ( Whitney Museum, New York ).
