Goncharova, Natalia

Natalia Goncharova
(Tula, 1881- Paris, 1962)

Russian-French painter and printmaker, and amongst the most prominent of the Russian avant-garde artists.

A prolific artists, she experimented with several of the major styles in modern and contemporary art, including Neo-primitivism, Fauvism, Cubism, Futurism and Rayonism. During the latter part of her career she began exploring ancient Russian, Chinese and Indian art.
