Detailed Description

Les Demoiselles d'Avignon (Pablo Picasso's), a work widely criticized and misunderstood even among artists, collectors and art critics of the era's most pioneering, not assimilated the new direction taken by the artist, is today considered one of the icons of modern art. The picture was painted in 1907, passed by Galerie d'Antin (Paris) in 1916, after which Paul put it in his studio until the early 20's was bought by Jacques Doucet and 1925en exhibited in the Petit Palais. Shortly after the painting was purchased by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where he is one of the most prized of the collection. Trends, cutting-edge style ... A stone, a mountain may have their own style, but man, the eternal seeker, the curious from birth, the animal that "thinks", questioning personified (?). I doubt it. We are neurotic, sold, psychotic (tised) s, in love, gray, depressed, elated, changing, crazy, brittle, clowns, playful, surprising, wonderfully incomprehensible ... and all at once. (I do not remember the name, but a renowned archaeologist published a study asserting that humans came from a monkey that only fed on magic mushrooms, and from there comes our "consciousness", our "reason"). Grifoll, seems to think this way in his work: "We are a maze of Pessoa's, all the changing features of the Demoiselles d'Avignon, heteronyms ourselves that so many in so many different mirrors are the same, as would Benedetti: and vice versa. So with his work "Les chats d'Avignon" insists Grifoll (http://www.picassomio.com/josep-grifoll-casas.html) "We believe a new leader in each new stroke of pencil, spatula, spray or hammer in the world "
